SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR LIBRARIES, HERBARIA & COMMERCIAL ORGANIZATIONS:

Libraries, herbaria, businesses, and other organizations may subscribe to the print version of the American Fern Journal. However, only individual persons may be members of the Society and receive online journal access through the society.

Individuals are encouraged to pay directly, rather than through an agent (please see the Membership page). However, members in some countries may find it convenient to pay through an agent. Subscription agents may deduct a $3.00 agency fee from each $60 membership.

Subscription/Agent Price: $60.00 per volume of 4 issues
$3.00 deduct agency fee if applicable
       $57.00 net price to agents

NOTE: Outside the U.S.A., Canada and Mexico, surface airlift (SAL) is standard and included; no airmail surcharge is necessary. Materials sent surface mail; allow 6 weeks (U.S., Canada, and Mexico) or 3 months (elsewhere).

FINANCIAL & REGistration INFORMATION:

Tax identification numbers: U. S. TIN is 05-6016227; Canadian GST is R101749364.

Registration process: As of 2021, Agents and Subscribers should follow the steps below to register their subscription(s) and process all payments (including payments by check).

  1. Visit https://payments.amerfernsoc.org

  2. Select “Join the Society or Renew your Membership”.

  3. Enter a username, password, and email address for a single institution*.

  4. Complete the mailing information.

  5. On the tab for membership type, please select Agent or Subscriber, as appropriate.

  6. You will have the option to pay securely via credit card or mail in a check.

*Subscription agents representing multiple institutions will need to create a separate account for each institution/address that should receive our publications. Each account will need a separate email address associated with it. There is a workaround for this that we can help you with if necessary; please email our membership secretary (Sally Chambers, sally.chambers@eku.edu) for more information.

Payment timing: Agents are encouraged to pay for renewal subscriptions at the beginning of the year. However, we recognize that this is not possible for all subscribers. Most agents renew their subscriptions automatically, but invoices for renewals will be sent on request or if subscriptions are not renewed automatically. Invoices for memberships and subscriptions are routinely sent in November.

Cancellations are accepted and balance refunded.

Payment methods:

  • Credit Card: credit card payments are easily processed when following the steps above.

  • Check: U.S. dollar check drawn on a U.S. bank and encoded with the U.S. bank routing number, or international postal money order negotiable at a U.S. post office. Please make all checks payable to: AMERICAN FERN SOCIETY, INC. and mail to this address:
